About

Software for the shop, not the boardroom

MyShoppingBill is built by a small team for the businesses we grew up around — the kirana, the chemist, the hardware store, the wholesaler.

Why we built it

The billing book deserved better

Most shops still run on a paper register, a calculator and a shoebox of bills. The "business software" built for them is usually the opposite problem — bloated, expensive, and designed for an accountant sitting in an office, not an owner standing at a counter during a rush.

We wanted one app that a shopkeeper and their family could actually use: fast to bill, honest about stock, clear about who owes what, and calm enough to trust at month end. It had to work on a cheap Android phone with patchy signal, and it had to be affordable on day one.

What we care about

  • Speed at the counter over feature count
  • Numbers that reconcile without a spreadsheet
  • Working offline is a requirement, not a bonus
  • Pricing a single-counter shop can afford
How we got here

A short history

2024

First version — a single-screen invoicing tool for one shop, built as a favour and never given back.

2025

Inventory, party ledgers and payments join up. The Android app ships with offline sync.

2026

Multi-business support, staff roles, per-party pricing and a full reporting suite land.

Next

Deeper GST filing help, e-invoicing and a lighter web experience for very small counters.
